Pomp and Circumstance

Congratulations to Ainslee who graduated from Preschool last Friday. Holy cow, though. Some moms acted like it was the dang high school graduation. I am talking arm fulls of flowers and long distance family members. It's just preschool, people. The kids got their little "diplomas," sang a few songs and then we all went out to the park for a BBQ. Cory was able to come which was really fun for Ainslee. When the teacher called her name to get her diploma, she announced (like she did with all the kids) that when Ainslee grows up she wants to be a swimmer just like her big sister. No pressure or anything. I thought it was cute, though and I hope that Ashley realizes how much Ainslee looks up to her. Here are a few pictures of the big day.

Wake Up Call...The Sequel

"No, I don't have a baby in my tummy!" I reply adamantly.

Andi's reply..."Uh huh...a big one."

by Cory Rice

How do you know it is time to start working out?... Give up?

When Andi asks, "You haves a baby in yours tummy too?"

...Stop laughing!

Hot Days of Summer

Yeah, you'd think it was June or July here. Nope. It's only May and it's 90 degress today. What the heck? Since when did we move to Arizona? Anyway, last week we held our first Slip and Slide day. The kids loved it but the grass did not. It flooded.

Mother's Day

Happy Mothers Day, Everyone!!!! I had a nice day. When I woke up, Cory had put a vase full of roses on the table for me. They're from our front yard and I love the colors!

Then we had donuts for breakfast- my choice. Then off to church. We have early church which is too bad because it would have been nice to sleep in for once. Oh well, life goes on. After church, we had my choice of dinner. Grilled Steaks with mushrooms, grilled asaparagus, buttery garlicky red potatoes, and smores for dessert. Really, that's what I wanted and they were sooo good. The day actually went really well. Probably better than most which is a great Mother's Day present. Later in the evening we decided to cut Spencer's hair. First Haircut!!! We just buzzed the top with an 8 and the back and sides with a 6 to clean it up.
He really liked it at first. . .

And then he freaked out.

On Friday, I went to Ainslee's Mother's Day Tea at her preschool where they sang adorable little songs and had little muffins for the moms. She made me a little bonnet to wear and I know it looks like a toilet seat cover- but it's not.

Then right after, I went to Ashley's Mother's Day Tea where the whole kindergarten sang songs. One funny thing was that Ashley gave me a Mothers Day card she made in class. It was a fill in the blanks. She drew a picture of me to go with it. She wrote (and drew with crayons) that my hair color was blonde, brown, and black. Hello, I know I need my roots done!!!!
How embarrassing!

What a pain.

No, not my ear. I've been working on building a blog for our Relief Society and I was changing the template which also changed the widgets on the side bar. But guess what, I was accidently logged in to our family blog so I've lost all pictures and widgets. So now I get to start over. . . Fun :/

I'm still alive . . .

I'm still here, no real death beds for me. It still hurts and I can't hear out of my left ear. Hopefully that will go away in the next couple of weeks. I'm still plagued with burning lungs, jaw pain, and general tiredness. Aaahh. I hate feeling like this. And I especially feel bad for the kids because we're not at the park as often as we should be before it gets too hot. But who knows, maybe Cory will feel like celebrating when I'm better and take us to Great America or San Fran or painting the house (it's been a long time coming). He finds any occassion to celebrate. Lucky for me!
